'I had tried this kind of exercise before but I’d only done it sporadically and so usually just ended up feeling sore (which led me to believe I wasn’t designed for it) but, I thought if there is ever a time to see what a more dedicated and consistent approach can achieve, it’s now!

I love the way the programme is set up. A daily email takes you to the workout of the day with instructions and mini video demonstrations of all the exercises. Everything is clear and so well set up that it’s easy to just start from where you are. There are easier versions of all the exercises, which I took full advantage of as I began to build my stamina and the programme didn’t require any equipment, so it was the perfect home workout.

I chose Tianzi Shred because I’d heard from so many sources that, particularly as we age, we need to maintain muscle strength and integrity to ward off diseases of metabolic dysregulation like heart disease and diabetes but I also wanted to work safely and pay real attention to my form to have the best chance of understanding, enjoying and completing the programme.

There are five sessions each week and it has definitely been really challenging but the speed at which I saw positive results was so motivating. I noticed my body tone-up and get stronger. I’ve lost weight, my skin is in better condition and I feel much more athletic than ever before. My muscles feel both more robust and elastic. During the weeks of training, there were moments when I was jumping or running that felt so exhilarating, a feeling I’d never associated with this kind of exercise!

Feeling physically fit makes everything else in life seem more achievable. Trying something new helped me see how the impossible might be possible, so there is no way I’m stopping now!

'I started Tianzi out of curiosity, looking for something I could do at home in such strange times and that, ideally, could tone up my abs. I knew my weaknesses: laziness, having been sedentary for a long time and lack of consistency, However, I decided to give myself a chance and I tentatively asked Fed if I could try the EASIEST of his programs and he recommended Tianzi. The word 'EASIEST' must have escaped him... But, in the end, I really can't thank him enough: I found the workouts challenging for sure, but they're built in such a way that you're able to reach your peak gradually, step by step, goal after goal. And as the days went by, I felt fitter, stronger, more toned and energised and actually looking forward to my next session! Fed is a caring coach, attentive and always there to motivate me and guide me on this journey, which is taking me beyond what I honestly thought were my limits.
